We’re back this week with a Halloween edition of Saturday Scraps!
As you saw in an earlier post, I used hanging ‘BOO’ letters from Michael’s and Doodlebug Boos & Brews to create a fun door hanging. After I completed that project I had a pile of scraps on my table, and I hate to throw out good paper!
Since none of the scrap pieces were very big, I knew my project would have to be a card.
I cut the scraps into small strips and layered them on a piece of black cardstock. I did not want to adhere them directly to the card base because I knew the edges would need a trim and a border.
After I had glued all my scraps down, I trimmed the edge by 1/4″ and used some washi tape from my stash to create a polka dot border. Then it was ready to be adhered to the card base. I placed it crooked on purpose to enhance the fun Halloween effect.
The sentiment and embellishments were in my Halloween stash, they’re by K&Company.
A few scraps and some stickers is all it takes to create a fun, bright Halloween card!
