Today I’m sharing a project that I love! I came across this tutorial from Emily Pitts for creating a gift card holder that is shaped like a gift, and when you pull up on the lid the gift card is inside. Check out the tutorial and I’ll show you our take on it.
I love giving ice cream gift cards. Whether DQ, marble slab or Coldstone, everyone loves going out for a treat! Lawn Fawn created a stamp set called ‘Treat Yourself’. It features adorable bowls of ice cream, ice cream cones and cute sentiments.
First I cut out pink cardstock using the template in the tutorial, I assembled the gift box shape, then stamped. I thought using a colour in the same family, but different shade would stand out but still go together nicely. I used a few of the different ice cream shapes and stamped all over the front and back of the gift.
I used a turquoise colour for the ribbon running up the center. Don’t you just love pink and turquoise together!?
I used my Cricut Explore to cut out the bow. That’s how easy it came together!
Tell us in the comments what theme you would use for this adorable template.
